    You have exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines with competing demands. With well-developed communication skills, you are confident in liaising and negotiating with vendors and clients at all levels of an organisation.     About the Role

    Reporting to the Manager: Research and Data Management Support, you will contribute to the design, development, implementation and integration of services in support of the University's Research applications and services. You will provide technical advice and support to ensure the availability and robustness of the systems including system development. You will provide technical advice on the architecture and security of both new and existing technical solutions.

    UniSA Information and Technology Services (ISTS) has the primary strategic and operational responsibility for the provision of considerable IT infrastructure and services. ISTS is customer focused and operates a service management framework based on AS8018 and provides seamless service to students and staff. The University's Research and Data Management Support team manage, develop and support this environment ensuring robust, responsive and high availability of research applications.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (normally a degree) or equivalent professional information technology experience in a large organisation comparable with the University
  • Significant experience using programming languages, application development tools and databases
  • Significant experience in the design, development and support of software applications and services
  • High level experience in the implementation of system development methodologies, standards, documentation and quality procedures
  • Significant experience of security issues at applications, database, networking and operating system levels
