The UNSW Indigenous Scholarships Program aims to encourage and assist Indigenous Australian students to undertake study at UNSW.

UNSW Scholarships work in partnership with the Office of the PVC Indigenous and Nura Gili, Centre for Indigenous Programs. While Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity is unique and sacred to every person, UNSW scholarships for Indigenous students will require proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity and heritage. If you have not already provided proof of identity and heritage to Nura Gili, any Indigenous specific scholarship offer made by UNSW Scholarships will be conditional upon receipt of proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage to Nura Gili as outlined on the Nura Gili website. By applying for the UNSW Indigenous Scholarships Program you may be considered for the following scholarships. More scholarships may be added to this list progressively.

Scholarship	Value and Duration	Eligibility
Maple-Brown Family Foundation Scholarship for Indigenous Students (UGCE1151)	$13,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program.	Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or double) in the UNSW Business School. Have completed the NSW HSC (or interstate equivalent) or IB in the previous two years prior to commencing at UNSW, provided no tertiary study was undertaken during this period.
Mr & Mrs Ngiam Tong Yuen Family Scholarship (UGCE1187)	$10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program	Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Be commencing full-time undergraduate studies in any undergraduate degree program at UNSW, including double degrees.
School of Mathematics and Statistics Indigenous Scholarship (UGCE1268)	$5,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program	Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Be commencing full-time undergraduate studies in a Bachelor of Advanced Science or Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics), including double degrees with a declared major in the School of Mathematics & Statistics.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

• Academic Merit
• Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
• Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
• Aptitude and commitment to studies

This scholarship will be automatically awarded to the student who shows the highest academic achievement and meets the eligibility criteria.

Scholarship	Value and Duration	Eligibility
UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture Indigenous Scholarship (UGCE1390)	$10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program	Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander; and Completed the NSW HSC (or interstate equivalent) or IB in the previous two years prior to commencing at UNSW, provided no tertiary study was undertaken during this period; and Be commencing full-time undergraduate (single or dual) degree program in the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture at UNSW, and Preference will be given to rural applicants*
UNSW Indigenous Undergraduate Business Scholarship (UGCE1328)	$5,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program (up to 4 years)	Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander; and Have completed the UNSW Indigenous Pre-Program in Business; and Have received a full offer to an eligible undergraduate degree program in the UNSW Business School.

*Must have lived in a rural, regional or remote area within the two years prior to the start of your UNSW studies.
Check the Australian Standard Geographic Classification Remoteness Areas (ASGC-RA) system map to check your eligibility. All categories other than 'RA1 - Major Cities of Australia' are considered to be regional or remote with the exception of Hobart.
