About the role
The Apprenticeships Team seek to appoint five Independent End-Point Assessors (IEPA) to provide independent, fair, reliable and consistent assessment services in accordance with the Police Constable (Integrated Degree) Assessment Plan.
IEPAs will work as part of our expert team, collaborating with apprentices and their employers to plan timely End-Point Assessments, agreeing and executing assessment activities to schedule.
Role holders will be required to use their assessment experience, alongside extensive current industry knowledge, to form judgements and grading decisions upon the completion of the range of assessment activities, which test the apprentices' occupational competency characterised by the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours of the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) standard.
This role demands individuals who are flexible in their approach to all tasks, with the independence to travel as required, and exceptional assessment abilities coupled with the ability to act with integrity and impartiality. Assessment may be carried out in person or remotely using video/audio technology.
Essential elements of the role include carrying out all associated administration, leading standardisation and moderation, maintaining the currency of your occupational competence, and maintaining your Continuous Professional Development.
