The IET instructor assists the Technical Instructor by providing academic support within the specific Integrated Education & Training program. Duties include, but are not limited to: assess students' basic skills; facilitate learning lab opportunities to aid students' preparation for certification exams; maintain accurate attendance records and submit in a timely manner; proctor assessments; and ensure classroom management in a positive learning environment.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides academic support within the specific IET Program. 2. Facilitates technical instruction. 3. Provides aid to students, preparing for exam certification. 4. Administers tests and ensures classroom management and a positive learning environment. 5. Assesses students' basic skills needs of learning. 6. Offers content review and maintains accurate attendance records. 7. Attend work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software. 2. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 3. Excellent communication skills including active listening. 4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 5. Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team. 6. Ability to demonstrate cooperation and professionalism while maintaining patience and understanding in stressful situations. 7. Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.

Required Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field plus 1 year of experience teaching, coaching or related work experience.
Equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry related training experience preferred.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary/Hourly Rate $28.00
