The position of Mechanical Services Technician is supervised by the Mechanical Services Shop Leader. The position requires the performance of a wide variety of mechanical repairs and installations of heating and plumbing systems and other related maintenance activities.

  • New employees will receive a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus ( $250 paid out at the first check, $250 paid out after 90 days, and the remaining $500 paid out after 6 months)
  • Hourly range for this position is expected to be: Minimum $23.00 – Maximum $28.00/ per hour depending on level of experience and certifications obtained (This role is eligible for overtime, emergency call, and shift differential)
  • Education/Skills Requirements

    Required:

  • High School Diploma and one year of vocational or trades training required.
  • We are open to candidates who are in process of pursuing their license in plumbing
  • Must have valid state of ME class C driver's license.
  • Preferred:

  • Licensed Plumber/Gas/Oil Tech Preferred (Certificates of completion of subjects or license as applicable).
  • Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

    Required:

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years work experience directly related to heating and plumbing systems maintenance, repair and installation.
  • Candidates who are currently pursuing certification and have less than 3 years may be considered depending on vocational or trades training.

  • The Mechanical Service technician is expected to work a 40 hour week which may include weekends and overtime.
