Student employees will provide the supervisor with their class schedule each semester. The supervisor will build the work schedule based on the submitted class schedules.

Job Description Summary
The Human Resources Student Assistant will provide administrative support across all divisions of the Office of Human Resources at the University. This entry level position provides an introduction to different areas of Human Resources such as Talent Management, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and HRIS. This position plays a critical role in covering the front desk area of the office and often serves as the first point of contact for faculty, staff, students, vendors, community partners, and other guests.
Specific Duties

Other projects. Projects are assigned based on the HR Student Assistant's skill set and work schedule. Projects can change each semester.

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
