Performs specialized work in the planning, conducting and/or supervising of
original research at TTUHSC. Responsible for participating in, planning,
scheduling and/or supervising research projects and the interpretation of the
results for publication. Work is performed under general supervision with
evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall
effectiveness of project. May supervise research and student assistants.
Up to 25%
Performs scientific research.
Assists with training and direction of graduate students and volunteers.
Assists with data analysis, the preparation of manuscripts and posters.
Responsible for day to day maintenance of lab and lab equipment; including
ordering supplies and certification of receipt in appropriate university
Presents data at lab meetings and possibly regional and national meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Hire Rate
Experience working with mice. Experience performing ELISA. Experience
performing flow cytometry analysis. Experience performing research to study
infectious diseases. Experience performing work with BSL-2 and or BSL 3
