We have a vacancy for a part-time Housekeeper (27.5 hours a week) to provide a high quality, friendly and supportive cleaning service across our accommodation.

About the role:

In term time you will be cleaning student kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms in line with service level agreements and standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Through the summer your role will switch to supporting our commercial and hotel style business, cleaning and setting up guest bedrooms as they are needed.

You'll have a key role in helping students transition from living at home to fully independent living and ensuring all our accommodation users have the best possible experience when staying with us.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning accommodation areas
  • Reporting maintenance requirements
  • Ensuring health and safety guidance is followed
  • Acting as the face of the department, engaging with students and visitors
  • The University of Bath's Student Living department houses over 5000 students throughout the academic year and during the summer month's, external companies use our accommodation services for conferences, summer camps and away days.

    Cleaning is required in some areas at weekends, therefore there is an expectation to work weekends on a rota basis, mainly during the peak summer periods. When required to work at weekends, you will work 5 days out of 7 and have days off during the week.
