  • About the Role The Honours Team Coordinator, based in the Learning and Teaching Unit, will support the Faculty Honours Director and lead a team in managing selection, admissions, and scholarship processes for MDHS Honours programs. The role involves overseeing the application assessment for the Master of Biomedical Science, coordinating student enrichment activities, collaborating with various university departments for recruitment and marketing, and ensuring high-quality, client-focused services. The coordinator will also develop and implement improved administrative processes and maintain effective relationships to enhance the student experience.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of the Honours Sonia database, ensuring accurate data collection from multiple sources with distinct requirements
  • Develop and prepare reports relevant to honours including offers, applicants, scholarships, supervisors, completions and enrolments.
  • Support the Faculty Honours Director and Learning and Teaching Unit Director, to establish effective communications between the Faculty and School/Departments
  • Coordinate Honours enrichment activities
  • Who We Are Looking For The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, high-level organisational skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to diverse clients. They will have the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders, work collaboratively and independently, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, they will have experience in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and business processes, along with high-level computer proficiency.

    You will also have:

  • A relevant degree with experience within the higher education sector; or a combination of relevant experience and education/ training.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and forge working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly both in a team and independently, in an environment with changing demands.

    This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
