The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics is recruiting a full-time board-certified/board-eligible heart failure cardiologist to serve as the Director of the Cardiomyopathy Section of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. This position will be in the rank of Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor. The candidate will spend time in outpatient clinic, including outreach clinics, rounding on inpatient cardiomyopathy service, assisting in donor call and endomyocardial biopsies. Candidates must have a MD or equivalent. Position requires completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency Program.

Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have completed a cardiology fellowship and an accredited advanced heart failure fellowship program.
Candidates must have at least three years of hands on experience in cardiology, specifically focusing on heart failure, transplantation and mechanical support.
A demonstrated record of scholarly work and administrative leadership is required.
Demonstrated experience promoting a diverse workforce/academic environment is required.
The completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency Program.
Certifications:
Board certified/board-eligible heart failure cardiologist.
