Academic Staff Member - Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting

Research field: taxation, public finance, corporate finance, investment management, banking and insurance

We are a modern university, teaching and researching agriculture, forestry, economic and technical disciplines in regional and international contexts. Since 2018, we have been the holder of the HR Excellence in Research Award for improving employee care, awarded to us as the first Czech university by the European Commission.

At the Faculty of Business and Economics, we focus on modern business economics, corporate finance, marketing and management sciences. You can become part of our faculty and build your own team.

The Department of Business Economics specializes in business process management, corporate finance, agricultural economics, environmental economics and policy, and bioeconomics.

What will be your job duties?

planning, organising and supervising all aspects of the department's activities

managing the department's budget and resources

managing the academic and research staff and the department's staff, evaluating them on a regular basis

teaching and research activities in the fields of accounting, taxation, corporate finance, public finance, investment management, banking and insurance

ensuring the high quality of teaching and student guidance

supporting research activities and obtaining grants for the department

cooperation with other departments

What are our requirements?

university degree - at least Ph.D. in the in economics, taxation, accounting, corporate finance, public finance, financial markets or a related field; associate professor or professor preferred

excellent active knowledge of Czech, knowledge of English for teaching and publishing

demonstrable research activities in business economics, corporate finance, bioeconomics or related fields

experience in publishing in IF journals and experience in managing domestic and international research projects

ability to understand labour law and economic rules governing HEIs

organisational, managerial and communication skills

aptitude for team and independent work

personal and professional aptitude for teaching

willingness to work on personal development and qualification growth
