Estates & Facilities Professional & Business Support Senior staff grade - £66,511 to £72,712 (pro rata) dependent on experience

Our newly created Infrastructure and Change Group brings together Digital Technology Services, Estates and Facilities and Transformation, recognising the strategic importance of the physical and technological campus and the opportunity this brings for transformational changes to where and how we work.

As Head of Estates Operations, you will have responsibility for the development and delivery of high-performing, innovative and ambitious estates operations that deliver an excellent user experience and support the University's operational priorities and strategic aims. You will also join the Infrastructure and Change leadership team, supporting the Group Director in providing overall leadership of infrastructure development across the University.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design of future operating models and operational practices across both Sheffield campuses and beyond
  • Being an active change leader, driving innovation and continuous improvement
  • Leading the development of a sustainable estate management approach that optimises resources and reduces long-term maintenance costs
  • Key capabilities you will need include:

  • Senior management experience of leading the operationalisation of estates and facilities strategy within a complex environment
  • Experience of designing and implementing flexible and innovative user focused solutions that deliver organisational strategy
  • Experience of working in partnership and building strong links with leaders and managers at all levels within an organisation
