About the Role The School seeks to appoint a Hansen Lecturer in History with a passion for teaching in twentieth century history, beginning in Semester 2 2022. In particular, the candidate must have the capacity to teach subjects on World War II, Soviet history, the historiography of Stalinism, and dictatorships more generally.
The role reports to the Head of School and is responsible for the coordination of teaching where required in accordance with the Faculty's Local Operating rules. The role will also be responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the delivery and assessment of specified subjects and the development of subject teaching materials. However, the applicant must have demonstrated background and skills in one or more areas of history with experience in research, which have resulted in the publication of high-quality outputs or other demonstrated scholarly activities. Research may be carried out independently and/or as part of a team.
