Group leader IR Sensor Production (f/m/d)The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension will be sought if suitable.
The Leibniz-IPHT is a university independent research institute with close connection to the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena and member of the Leibniz association.
Job description:The position of group leader is associated with the control, management, budget and personnel responsibilities of the IR sensor production working group. The main task of the IR sensor production group is the production of thin-film thermal sensors for a wide range of applications in non-contact radiation measurement. The sensors are based on the thermoelectric conversion principle using highly effective V/VI compound semiconductors. They meet the demand for highest detectivity for applications in the life sciences such as medical technology, MIR spectroscopy and pyrometry and are also used in special developments for numerous space missions. All sensors are produced on silicon wafers in the clean room of Leibniz-IPHT using state-of-the-art MEMS methods, characterized, separated and assembled, and encapsulated according to customer specifications using packaging methods. The quality assurance of core processes is in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
Your field of activity:The group manager's activities primarily include controlling and safeguarding the DIN ISO-certified production of IR sensors for industrial use and maintaining the necessary customer and industry contacts.
The job includes:A qualified and experienced team of scientists, engineers, laboratory technicians and laboratory assistants is available to fulfil these tasks. A good knowledge of German is essential to lead the group.
Your qualification:Salary is in accordance with the regulations of the TV-L.
