Job Description

This department provides library services to students, staff and faculty borrowing library materials, use of library computers, use of multifunction printers, and other services. The library provides resources and research assistance to all members of the GTCC community.

Duties/Functions

Assist students at circulation desk: Book & DVD checkout & returns, and placing holds on items at other campus libraries

Assist students navigating college & library web page

Assist students with Web Advisor questions: search for class sections, etc.

Assist students with uploading files & other functions in Moodle

Shelfing returned materials

Shelf reading book and DVD collection periodically to check for errors

Assist library staff in cleaning of surfaces, computer screens, keyboards as needed

Assist students with directional questions

Collect daily mail and returned books from book drop; process outgoing mail

Refill paper in printer & copier; alert staff to any other supply or equipment issues

Basic computer skills

Knowledge of MS Office programs
