Pay Grade Salary Hourly Pay Rate Starting at $12.00 per hour, compensation could go higher depending on work experience and skill level. Weber State University student works also qualify for free textbooks each semester. FLSA Job Summary/Basic Function

Graphic Design Student/Hourly Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and design print, screenprint, embroidering, and digital materials
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadlines
  • Retouch and manipulate images
  • Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Senior Management to develop design concepts
  • Receive feedback from the Creative Director and make necessary changes
  • Assemble final presentation material for printing as needed (PrePress)
  • Required Qualifications

    Requirements

  • Graphic Design major preferred
  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
  • Experience with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Strong creative and analytical skills
  • Portfolio of graphic design work
  • Preferred Qualifications Background Check? No

Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading., Required to have close visual acuity to inspect small defects, small parts at distances close to the eye., Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services,) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection). The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position. None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
