We are seeking a highly motivated Grants Officer to provide a pivotal role in providing complete research grant management services to the department and is the interface between (i) academic staff in the department, (ii) Research Services and Research Accounts in the University Administration and Services and (iii) all external funding agencies.
You will work as a member of a small team under the line management of the Grants & Finance Manager to prepare costings for funding applications, manage financial aspects of research grants, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in line with university financial controls and maintain electronic databases and filing systems
You are required to be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent experience and have experience of managing projects and working with a complex and varied workload. We would also expect you to have experience of Oracle Financials accounts system (R12) and the University's costing and pricing tool, X5. Experience of working in a university or other public sector environment would be desirable.
This is a full time appointment on a fixed term contract for 3 years in the first instance and you will be based at the Level 6 West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU.
