Assisting with research for a multivolume collection of nineteenth-century British primary sources about Latin America: checking and correcting formatting and documentation style, looking up and obtaining articles from databases, downloading and editing pdfs, potentially researching sources to double-check historical information.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications
Meticulous eye for detail and organization, experience with citing sources, familiarity with UTRGV library website search and databases such as British Periodicals; Microsoft Word; Adobe Acrobat. Will also be required to use GoogleBooks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications
Experience reading, researching and using primary sources, especially before the twentieth century. Also, Spanish reading fluency and ability to translate would be helpful.
