Job Summary:

Assist the department with a variety of duties. A Graduate Assistant will gain essential work and educational experience needed to obtain full-time employment in their chosen field. These tasks are to be performed in a manner that professionally, cordially, and efficiently assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Description of Job Duties:

  • Day-to-day maintenance of the field

  • Help with practice planning and execution day to day

  • Recruiting prospective student athletes
  • Help fundraising efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

  • A Graduate Assistant should be working at a level higher than an undergraduate student employee. For example: teaching/instructing undergraduates in or out of the classroom as assigned, critiquing/grading undergraduate work/skills, etc.

  • Terms of Employment:

  • Employment at will
  • Part-time, temporary
  • Reports to Soccer Head Coach
  • Eligible to receive a tuition waiver each semester
  • Safety and job-related trainings will be completed as instructed

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree completed; enrolled in graduate program and working in field of study.

    ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS: Fall/Spring Semesters: Enrollment is considered 5 hours for graduates. Summer Semester Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 3 hours. If the number of hours needed to graduate is less than the minimum hours required to work, the student must obtain a letter from his/her advisor stating the number of hours needed to graduate.
