Position Title Graduate Assistant: Teacher

Description of GA Assignment GA: Teacher – Adjunct instructor of record and assigned to teach one (half-time appointment) or two (full-time appointment) undergraduate course(s) or lab(s). Responsible for assigning student grades and following all University teaching guidelines. Department Biological Science - MU2510 Location MU - Marshall University Semester Fall Semester Hours Per Week Full Time (20 hrs a week)

Job Description

Instructs laboratory sections of BSC courses, with guidance of Academic Laboratory Manager. Provides instruction, monitors attendance, grades assignments, holds office hours, attends teaching prep meetings, and interacts with course lecturer as necessary. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree – preference to those with degrees in biology and closely- related sciences. Must have applied to or been admitted to MU Graduate College.

Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.

Preferred Qualifications

MS or MA applicant for Biological Sciences' Graduate Program.
