Job Description

The Graduate Assistant - Research is responsible for assisting faculty with assigned research, train undergraduate research assistance on the proper use of lab equipment, and perform any additional duties as assigned.


  • Assist faculty with research and staff as needed

  • Programming skills required

  • Prepare and develop slides and needed documentation to assist faculty

  • Assist with presentations and be able to present their own presentations when called upon.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semester).

  • Must be in good academic standing.
