Midland University, a private, faith based, liberal arts university in
Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is accepting applications
for the position of Coach for Men's Soccer. The coaching position will be
offered within our graduate assistant structure, requiring admission to the
University's Master of Education, Master of Science Learning and Talent
Development, Master of Science and Sports Administration and Leadership or
Master of Business Administration programs. The candidate will be responsible
for contributing to various aspects of the program, including recruiting,
coaching, video and equipment duties, and other tasks and duties. The position
allows for an on campus meal plan, stipend and tuition remission from the
University. All position finalists will require three professional references.
Job responsibilities include:
Representing Midland University Recruiting
Conducting coaching and instruction activities during training and
practice
Field preparation Practice preparation
Directing strength and conditioning activities (during the season and
off-season)
Video analysis Coordinating game and practice schedules
Assisting with team travel Running camps and clinics
Helping to ensure team compliance with all NAIA and institutional, rules
and regulations
Need to have:
A bachelor's degree
Previous experience as a collegiate-level soccer player
Good organizational skills
Good interpersonal communication skills
Basic computer skills, such as a working understanding of Microsoft Word
and Excel
A valid CDL license (or can obtain one shortly after starting in the
role)
Nice to have:
Previous experience as a high school or collegiate soccer coach
Should demonstrate:
A positive attitude
An ability to resolve issues independently
Compensation:
Tuition Remission in the master's program
Free campus meal plan (15 meals per week)
A monthly stipend dependent on degree pursued
