The School of Education prepares students for careers in education and prepares them to serve in linguistically and culturally diverse communities in the North Texas region and beyond. We strive to strengthen area school districts in the UNT-Dallas community with high quality teachers who will ultimately serve under resourced youth. We also work directly with school district and community college partners to support recruiting. And, we are actively engaged with students and alumni to improve student retention and graduation rates.

Position Summary

The School of Education Graduate Programs seek a person who can assist graduate school candidates with inquiries and to complete the university application process, then review the information for completion and accuracy. Additionally, the person will schedule candidate interviews and work with graduate school faculty to streamline the admissions process to the M.Ed. programs.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • review graduate applications in Laserfiche (admissions platform)
  • field questions related to the C & I, post-bac, and Educational Leadership programs for potential students
  • follow up with potential students
  • review the documents for accuracy & completion
  • stay in communication with the program coordinators in the M.Ed. programs
  • schedule candidate interviews with M.Ed. program coordinators
  • prepare the file for final review by the Assistant Dean

    Minimum Qualifications

    Applicants must possess the following:

  • Master's Degree in Education or a related field
  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Ability to act with considerable initiative. • Experience working in an institution of higher education.

    Required License / Registration / Certification Work Schedule

    Remote work only 10 hours per week
