GloPID-R Research & Policy Officer

Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, New Richards Building, Old Road Campus, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7LG Grade 7: Salary in range £33,309 - £40,927 per annum

We are seeking to appoint 3 highly motivated Research & Policy Officers to join the Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R) Scientific Secretariat team at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health.

Working as part of a small team, under the leadership of Dr Alice Norton, you will work to contribute to the scientific and technical support work package. This work package is aimed at supporting the further development and operationalisation of GloPID-R's strategy by providing technical support to GloPID-R Chairs and working groups. You will develop policy briefs on strategic themes such as data sharing, clinical research innovation and regulatory developments, social science aspects, access to medicine and R&D priorities and pipelines. You will also contribute to the implementation of the strategy as defined by the GloPID-R members.

It is essential that you hold a postgraduate degree in a scientific discipline, including social sciences, and have a strong track record in scientific writing. You will have excellent written and verbal skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex concepts to specialist and non- specialist audiences. You would have the ability to work accurately and methodically with a meticulous attention to detail. Evidence of well-developed qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills is essential. You will need a proven ability to organise and prioritise workloads to deliver in short time frames.
