Description of Job Duties:

The Department of Biological Sciences at SWOSU seeks a qualified individual to serve as an adjunct instructor for in-person sections of BIOL 1004 Biological Concepts lecture and BIOL 1004L Biological Concepts Lab to be taught on the SWOSU Sayre Campus.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Teaching the first-year, general education course BIOL 1004/1004L Biological Concepts on the Sayre campus
  • Weekly office hours appropriate to course load
  • Assessing student outcomes
  • Participating in departmental assessment

    Education and Experience

    Education and Experience

  • A graduate degree in Biology is required. Master's degree adjuncts are paid at a rate of $615/credit hr; Master's degree + 30 hours at $715/credit hour; and PhD at $950/credit hour for all made sections
  • Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred
  • Technological competence and experience in the LMS Canvas and in Webinar/Zoom synchronous instruction is preferred
  • Quality matters certification preferred
