Job description

Graduate Business Partnership

Job Summary - Working with the Global Systems Institute (GSI) Senior Administrator, you will play an essential role in providing support for the Institute Director and Manager in helping to manage their commitments including engagement with external stakeholders, attendance at meetings, and speaker engagements. You will also support partnership engagement for the GSI's flagship MSc in Global Sustainability Solutions. In this role, you will be able to improve your understanding of global challenges and how to develop new solutions, and gain experience providing effective assistant support to a senior leader at the university. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers a full-time contract (36.5 hours per week) until November 2023. You will be based on Streatham Campus in Exeter with the option for full or partial remote working once you are confident in your role. About You - You should be a graduate who has the ability to work in an organised manner and managing electronic documents, who has good basic IT skills, has the ability to communicate effectively and the ability to work independently when required. You should have willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing demands, the ability to contribute to a positive team culture, attention to detail, a commitment to succeed, and an interest and basic understanding in climate change and sustainability. You should also have an understanding of the higher education environment, and have prior experience of organising events, using social media and operating in a team environment in addition to independently.
