Full-time Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 523630) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or a related discipline. They should have adequate knowledge of quantitative research methods; a good command of written and spoken English; familiarity with SPSS or other data analysis software; good interpersonal and communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility. Previous work experience in family, mental health, and rehabilitation services is preferred.
The appointee will work on research projects related to substance abuse, mental health and poverty, liaise with different stakeholders, conduct literature reviews, collect data from various resources, conduct data analysis, manage day-to-day administrative duties, and assist in writing reports. He/She will have ample opportunities to work with social workers, multidisciplinary professionals, and other stakeholders in the local community.
