Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II (holding functional title as programme officer) in the Medical Ethics and Humanities Unit, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 522871) (to commence as soon as possible for one year)

  • a Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field with experience in curriculum development;
  • a strong command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese);
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and good communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills;
  • the ability to work in a team and coordinate project activities independently with high self-motivation and commitment.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis, ethic application, scheduling, and coordinating teaching and learning activities is highly desirable. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered as Research Assistant II.

  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • assist in the design and implementation of the teaching and learning activities in the Medical Humanities curriculum for the MBBS programme;
  • coordinate with faculty members and student groups to ensure that teaching and learning activities are of the highest quality and effectiveness;
  • conduct data collection, ethical application, individual interviews, and writing summaries and transcriptions related to the project;
  • monitor student progress and provide support as needed, including coordinating teaching and learning activities with student designers and outside teaching partners;
  • contribute to the dissemination of project findings through conferences, publications, and presentations;
  • perform other duties as assigned.
