NDM Experimental Medicine, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Front-end Web Developer with React JS experience to design and implement web-based applications to support University of Oxford projects aiming to improve patient care in hospitals.

You will be a central part of our research group and responsible for developing visually intuitive web-based platforms displaying healthcare data and key predictions from clinical decision support systems developed by the researchers. The platforms will be used by doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, and will also collect data on how they are used to allow researchers to evaluate how the tools are improving patient care. Successful tools have the potential to be used widely in the UK and internationally.

You will need:

• Expertise in web front-end development, including with React JS

• Experience of UI/UX design would also be very helpful

And you will be expected to:

• Lead discovery meetings with key stakeholders to drive design of tools

• Develop innovative prototypes, seek feedback and refine these into practice- changing interfaces

• Implement high-performance, secure front-end web platforms

• Showcase your work to senior internal and external partners

Your portfolio should include examples of clean, modern, responsive websites. You need to work well in a diverse multi-disciplinary team and enjoy successfully completing challenging and rewarding projects.

Remote working within the UK can be supported with occasional visits to Oxford.

This is a fixed-term position for up to 1 year.

Please complete an online application form and attach your CV and a supporting statement. The supporting statement must explain how you meet the selection criteria for the post using examples of your skills and experience.
