Position Title Flight Instructor -PT Aviation

FLSA Non-Exempt Full Time/Part Time Part Time Department Aviation Science Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus Hourly Rate New Hire $23.00; CFII-$25.00; MEI BS Degree-$26.00 Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - as needed, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week Summary of Position

The job of Flight Instructor is a part-time position working under the supervision of the Chief Flight Instructor. The individual will provide quality flight, simulator and ground instruction in accordance with FAA regulations and Central Texas College Aviation Science Department procedures.

Minimum Required Education

45 semester hours college credits (or equivalent experience). Associates Degree preferred.

Minimum Required Experience

Must havce current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single engine Class Rating. Must have current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate. CFI-Instrument Airplane (CFI-I) Rating preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills that enable the incumbent to work on an individual basis with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and write articulately and analytically. Ability to understand, apply and teach the relevant technical skills. Ability to work well in stressful situations and approach. Problems/decisions analytically. Ability to reason logically and methodically. Ability to plan, organize and document training programs and records. Ablity to apply effice instructional techniques in the classroom and in flight. Ability to maintain an assigned schedule and meet appointments punctually and adequately prepared.
