  • The working time of the position is reduced to 70% because the person recruited will not have to carry out all of the following missions, but only a part of them. The main tasks attributed to the doctoral research are the following: - To produce a synthesis of work relating to the conception of inequality and the fight against discrimination in France and in the context of the European Union; - to draw up a map of the State knowledge built up on the issues of access to vocational training in France and in the context of the European Union; - analyse the legal corpus that codifies the issues of inequality in France and in the context of the European Union applied to a specific object (continuing vocational training and/or social minima); - carry out analyses of archive collections, documentary sources and interviews with stakeholders; - writing parts of research reports and publications; - supporting the collective life of the research team and the organisation of scientific events.

    ---The objective of the postdoctoral research envisaged is to participate in the research work within the context of the ANR-DFG project. This will involve carrying out scientific analyses of one or more research objects documented in the research project. The analysis of primary sources (archives, statistical data, parliamentary reports or other grey literature), but also the constitution of corpuses of data (interviews, press files, original data records) or the work of existing scientific literature will lead to the drafting of contributions (reports and publications) presenting the results of the research. In addition, the mission will also consist, on an ad hoc basis, of supporting the functioning of the international research team.

    Eligibility criteria

    Doctorate in law (with a social law orientation) with a certain openness to the social sciences or doctorate in sociology or political science (sociology of public action, social policies, multi-scalar analysis) with an openness to public law, with, if possible, international research experience. The candidate's doctoral research must have led him or her to take an interest in public action in the field of social protection, social protection law or territorial policy making. It must have given him/her competence in the field of analysis of public debates, legal debates and policy instruments in the context of the European Union, and in a comparative perspective in Europe, or in different territories. The candidate must also have good oral expression (particularly for conducting interviews), good writing skills (writing summaries) and mastery of word processing tools. He or she must also have a sense of initiative and a real capacity for autonomy. Fluency in English as a working language (enabling him or her to carry out empirical investigations and to communicate both orally and in writing in a scientific context) is essential. A good command of German as a working language is highly desirable.
