Position InformationThis position reports to the Financial & Administrative Officer (FAO) in support of Undergraduate Education. As the Unit Financial Analyst, the incumbent will independently perform complex functions associated with financial management, general administration, and business operations. The incumbent will partner with multiple stakeholders to advise on fiscal and budgetary processes while managing various operational budgets totaling approximately $16 M across various fund sources. The incumbent will prepare monthly financial ledgers, provide multi-faceted financial and strategic planning reports via Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, oversee and balance staffing, prepare annual budget submissions, and perform departmental fiscal year-end tasks. The incumbent will also monitor fiscal transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls, contracts, and grants. The incumbent will identify opportunities to continuously improve the effectiveness, accuracy, and delivery of services. This mission-critical position will contribute to a culture focused on the FAST strategic anchors of: Psychological Safety, Client Engagement, and Innovation. This position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on- campus.
Budgeted range is $68,500.00 - $80,000.00.

Minimum RequirementsThorough knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems. Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; service orientation; critical thinking; attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills. Ability to function as a member of a team. Proven ability to use spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports. Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI for financial management. Has ability to independently gather required information, organize, and perform financial analysis assignments. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Working knowledge of Contracts & Grants.
Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of Work Front system.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Knowledge of fund accounting and general accepted accounting principles: SAS 1112, OMB A21, A110 and A133.
Application of lean methodology and organization excellence principles.
