An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, qualified, and driven Financial Analyst to join a dynamic team.

• From $88,589 to $97,787 (HEW Level 6), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading • Full time, continuing role. Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde. • High performing team. Hybrid working arrangement.

THE ROLE

To provide financial reporting support to Group Finance Managers within either the Revenue Operations, Expenditure (Opex/Capex/Fixed Assets) and/or Controlled Entity teams.

Key accountabilities:

  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities for all entities across the Group, including preparation and review of complex monthly journals (including accruals, prepayments, and allocations) and balance sheet and other GL reconciliations
  • Perform the processing of key invoices and calculations requiring developed level of business unit knowledge and understanding
  • Support provision of data and information for external audits
  • Accounting for internal scholarships
  • Operational implementation and compliance of project ledger policy
  • Address and resolve end user (Tier 1) report queries from researchers
  • Support the implementation of accounting processes / system rollouts for new initiatives
  • Support the application of finance policies and procedures and internal controls over assigned responsibilities
  • About You You will have strong Financial Accounting experience and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. The role will be suited to someone who pays attention to detail as has good communication and stakeholder management skills. You should enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a larger team, in order to achieve the organisational strategic goals.
