  • Position Summary
  • Two (2) temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant positions in the Faculty Development Center.

  • Start Date

  • Positions available on or after May 5, 2023 and ending on or before May 31, 2023. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

  • Job Description/Duties

  • Duties include but are not limited to:
  • General clerical duties such as pulling data, scanning, photocopying, maintaining office files, archiving, assisting with campus errands, and other general office work.
  • Assist in keeping track of various spreadsheets including entering data.
  • Assist with event/workshop pre/post planning and preparation.
  • Assist with Zoom sessions.
  • Sending reminder emails and other correspondence to faculty.
  • Create posters and/or flyers for FCETL events.
  • Cover the front desk and address questions (if/when we are back in person for the Fall semester).
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates experience with Adobe InDesign, Constant Contact or Canva.
  • Demonstrates an interest in graphic design.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work under deadlines and receive constructive criticism.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well independently.
  • Demonstrates experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Demonstrates the ability to be reliable/ punctual and well-organized.
  • Possesses the following personal qualities: maturity, responsibility, initiative, enthusiasm.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal and group communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with Zoom and/or other virtual platforms.
  • It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent is flexible to work scheduled shifts as needed; and is committed to employment up to/or through the summer.
  • Required Qualifications:

     Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
     Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
     Salary Range
     $15.50 per hour
