The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA) at Kent State University seeks qualified candidates to apply for a tenure- track Assistant Professor position in Business Analytics beginning fall 2024, with an alternative possible start date of January 11, 2024 as negotiated.

The ISBA Department has a diverse faculty who engage in a wide variety of impactful and collaborative research. The department embodies expertise in business analytics, statistics, supply chain, information systems, and operations.

The ISBA Department is collegial with strong emphasis on collaboration and cross-disciplinary research. The normal teaching load for new tenure-track faculty is two courses per semester during the probationary period, thereafter, determined by research productivity. Research support is normally available for up to the first three summers, subject to budget restrictions. Salary and benefits are competitive.

Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in research, teaching, and application of Business Analytics. The candidate must also be qualified to teach at the Undergraduate, Master's and Doctoral levels.
Candidates must have an earned Doctorate in business analytics or related discipline by the time of employment, with evidence of ongoing and future research accomplishments. Preference is given to candidates with demonstrated evidence and/or potential for high-quality research. All candidates should have evidence of effective teaching in Business Analytics.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
