Job information

The University of Bedfordshire is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive part-time Faculty Administrator. The post holder will be part of a team providing administrative support to the CATS Faculty in the university. The post holder will be substantively based in Luton but may, on occasion, be required to work at our Bedford Campus. Duties will be varied and will include providing cover for other administrator's annual leave and other absences as requested, organising meetings and taking notes, organising travel and accommodation, and administering staff temporary contracts.

The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in administration. They will have experience of office-based administrative activities and will be familiar with the use of IT platforms such as Microsoft Office. Experience of working in a Higher Education environment is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and email, and by telephone and will be able to work effectively with different categories and levels of staff and to empathise with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. If you are well-organised and able to manage your time well and enjoy working with people then you are encouraged to apply for this role.

Interviews will be held on 17 February 2023.
