    Herzing University's Birmingham Campus currently has an opening for Adjunct Faculty within our Public Safety Program - Emergency Services. The primary responsibility of Adjunct Faculty is to create a learning environment that is engaging, inspiring, and supports students in achieving their highest academic potential.

    Afternoon class times; Evening class times (some class hours could end around 10:00 pm). ​This role is a temporary contract with a projected end date of May 24, 2024.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree from a Regionally Accredited College
  • State of Alabama Paramedic License
  • EMS Instructor or Fire Instructor or DOD Instructor Certification
  • AHA BLS Certification
  • AHA BLS Instructor Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years on an Advanced Life Support vehicle
  • Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Masters Degree
  • Clinical Coordinator experience
  • AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certificate
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Certificate
  • Summary of Primary Responsibilities The position's responsibilities fall into eight basic areas and serve as the basis for instructor hiring, evaluation and development.
