Job Title FACULTY-EDUCATION

Teach 15 semester credit hours (5 courses) per long semester as assigned;
Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors with all programs in Education
division; committee work as assigned; professional development as assigned.
Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
Current teacher certification from any state and willingness to obtain a Texas
certification within one year of hire date.
Minimum of five years experience teaching early childhood, PK to grade 3
Knowledge of pedagogy and professional development standards/domains and Texas
Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and PreKindergarten Curriculum
Experience with online delivery systems
Knowledge of SmartBoards, iPads, document cameras (ELMO), and handheld
devices of various sorts
Excellent written and verbal skills
Technology proficiency including Microsoft Office applications and online
College teaching experience
Experience with Canvas
Grant writing and management experience
Administrative training and/or experience
Multi-grade level experience with coursework/experience in special populations
and early literacy
Knowledge of ePortfolios
Experience with organizing/monitoring field experiences
Knowledge of teacher certification in Texas
Develop, prepare and use materials, including multimedia course materials and
other current technology for face to face and online courses
Serve on college and divisional committees as assigned, including the CDEC
Coordinate field experiences with local independent school districts
Recruit and advise students for AAT (understand the transfer function of the
Red Apple Club faculty sponsor
Fulfill all faculty roles and responsibilities as outlined in Midland College
Policies and Administrative Regulations as published in the Employee and
