Job Summary

Faculty Appointment in Nursing, Social Work, and Community Health (one-year fulltime appointment)

Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities include clinical, laboratory, and/or theory courses working with students in the undergraduate BSN and post baccalaureate nursing programs. A clinical specialty with relevant clinical experience is necessary; clinical experience in community health and psychiatric nursing is required. Teaching in the undergraduate Community Health program may also be a part of this role. General faculty responsibilities include involvement in the activities of the department, for example, student advising, participation in teaching teams, and committees.

Skills

Candidate must be committed to the liberal arts educational mission and evangelical Christian orientation of the university and demonstrate commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring students, and scholarship. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to contribute to Bethel's anti-racism efforts and cross-cultural understanding.

Experience

Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset.

Education

A master's degree in nursing is required, and significant progress toward completion of a doctoral degree is preferred. Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility required.

Compensation: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
