The Facilities division of Planning, Design and Construction (FPDC) is responsible for managing all construction, renovations and infrastructure upgrades in accordance with the highest standards of design and performance. We serve our campus community as a resource for planning, estimating, space analysis, design, and construction implementation services. The team also maintains records on all university facilities, develops information technology planning tools, and oversees the creation of documents that guide and support UNT's strategic planning.

The Facilities organization at UNT is a service provider comprised of the following divisions: Facilities Planning Design & Construction (FPDC), Facilities Maintenance (FM) and Facilities Support & Services (FSS). We are responsible for the planning, renovation, maintenance and repair of university buildings and facilities, as well as other services playing an essential role to the mission of the University of North Texas. Facilities has over 325 employees who lead the way in caring for and operating over 170 facilities and 904 acres of landscape. Our goal is to provide world-class support for the University by ensuring safe, reliable, efficient facility and utility services delivered with outstanding customer services and effective stewardship of resources and the environment.

The Facilities Planning, Design and Construction department is seeking a positive, courteous and prompt individual with a professional attitude who is looking for real-world experience in a fast-paced environment. Preferred candidates will be willing to commit to working through the summer and are currently in their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design or Architectural Design.
