The School of Continuing Education (SCE) is the largest provider of professional development in Southeastern Wisconsin, providing year-round lifelong learning through varied venues, including short courses, workshops, and certificate programs. UWM SCE delivers online and blended instruction as well as educational opportunities via traditional classroom interaction in our classrooms in downtown Milwaukee and customized, onsite instruction at business locations and other unique locations throughout the city, region, and country.
Job Summary
Under general supervision the Facility Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the physical facility and all state-owned equipment housed at SCE downtown location within the 6th and 7th floors of the John Plankinton Building including, but not limited to over 75 offices, 17 conference rooms, seven pairs of restrooms and five mechanical rooms. The Facility Coordinator must understand the relationship between a properly maintained physical environment/equipment and faculty-staff-student needs including safety, productivity, learning, and comfort. The Facility Coordinator is expected to carry out all of the duties of this position independently with minimal supervision. The hours of this position are 6:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday- Friday , however, on occasion, this position may require evening and weekend hours and in the event of a building emergency as the first point of contact.
