Facilities Assistant (holding the functional title of Artisan) in the Swire Institute of Marine Science (SWIMS) (Ref.: 522732) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have completed Form 5 or above, with relevant experience in general electrical and water systems repair and maintenance. They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English, good interpersonal skills, a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently as well as in a team, and be self-motivated. Preference will be given to those who possess a Certificate of Registration as Grade A Electrical Worker and a valid driving licence.
The appointee will be responsible for the day-to-day repair and maintenance of the Academic and Residential Blocks, and may need to respond to accidents or emergency calls in the event of a system breakdown outside office hours. The appointee will work 5 days a week.
