  • The candidate will work on the realization of an interferometer using atomic Bose Einstein condensates trapped in double-well potentials. The simultaneous operation of two or more sensors will allow to cancel common mode noise and detect, with high precision, phase differences caused by non- homogeneous external potentials. This will lead to the first realization of a gradiometer using trapped atoms with high spatial resolution.
