MAINLAND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE

Hong Kong Baptist University has been awarded funding under Job Creation Scheme 3.0 supported by the Government to create employment opportunities amidst the deteriorating economy due to the pandemic. The Mainland Development Office now invites applications for the following position:

Executive Officer (PR0413/22-23 )

Duties:

  • Assist in setting up of new initiatives at HKBU Mainland institutes and offices;
  • Assist in engaging HKBU Mainland community, particularly in Beijing, Shanghai and the Greater Bay Area;
  • Explore, plan and organise events / projects for Mainland academic / research / student exchanges and partnerships;
  • Provide support in Mainland publicity and communication;
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned; and
  • Occasional traveling traveling to Mainland China is required.
  • Requirements:

  • A recognised bachelor degree with at least four years of relevant work experience;
  • Knowledge of Mainland-related affairs and / or experience in universities is an advantage;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in Putonghua is mandatory;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
  • Self-motivated, and able to work independently and under tight schedule; and
  • Good computer skills.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test and an interview. The appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year.

    Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
