Job Title Executive Director, MOECDepartment College of Education Essential Functions
This position will provide leadership for the Metropolitan Omaha Education Consortium (MOEC). This Executive Director will work with the members of the MOEC Executive Steering Committee to coordinate the implementation of the vision and goals identified in the MOEC Achievement Plan Strategic Framework. Responsibilities include partnership development and engagement, advocacy, annual and multi-year strategic and financial planning, budget management, fundraising, and excellent in talent management.
This position is funded by temporary funds for 1 year. Continued employment beyond 1 year is dependent on continued funding.
Work Schedule Additional Duties
Oversee and facilitate the implementation of the MOEC Achievement Plan Goals, Strategies and Outcomes/Metrics; Lead, in partnership with team members, annual planning and budgeting processes and provide day to day management for team. Provide visionary and dynamic leadership and management to a high-performing team of employees and community members by clarifying and delegating priorities and creating and monitoring progress towards organizational and individual goals; Serve as a strong and skilled facilitator who can guide the team, partners, and stakeholders towards consensus and defined, shared vision and results; Build deep relationships with and understand cross-sector (education, social service, business, civic) partners across the Greater Omaha-Council Bluffs area who are connected to and enable the success of every child; Advocate for the key outcomes and strategies identified by the MOEC Achievement Plan and its partners to improve student outcomes and diplomatically influence key leaders in scaling practices that work. Manage data by using data to track progress, modelling the use of data to inform decision making and using continuous improvement to scale what works in education; Work with the MOEC Executive Steering Committee, with task force leaders, and with established workgroups to engage members in supporting and advocating for the core tenets of the organization's work and the community's priorities; Ensure adequate resources by securing investments/funding and guild ongoing relationships with investors/funders to ensure that resources can be targeted to support agreed upon activities in the strategic plan that can be directly connected to organizational goals and outcomes; Represent MOEC externally to partners, media, funders, policymakers, and others; Value diversity, equity and cultural differences, bringing cultural competency to the daily workplace.
Required Qualifications
Required Education: Minimum of Master's Degree Required Experience: Extensive experience in educational leadership Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education: Doctoral Degree Preferred Experience: Demonstrated excellent experience in school district or postsecondary educational position
