New College invites applications for the position of Executive Assistant.

The Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Enrollment is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the office. This position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, manage projects and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

The position is essential to the College meeting its goals by driving increased operational efficiency and effectiveness. The Executive Assistant manages access to, maintains and modifies the schedule of, and ensures that issues are brought to the attention of the Vice President. They provide a broad range of highly skilled and highly confidential administrative support to other executives and additional team members.

They must maintain strong interpersonal relationships with constituents internally at all levels of the organization and externally with community members.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing a high level of executive administrative skills, handling confidential and sensitive matters, working independently on special assignments and maintaining a smooth operation of the office.
  • Assisting and advising the Vice President of any problems arising that may require their attention.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of department policies, procedures and department members' methods of operation to effectively and efficiently conduct duties and responsibilities. Often this individual is the point person for department requests for information which requires knowledge of both people and roles in the organization.
  • Managing the calendar and scheduling travel arrangements.
  • Demonstrating a focus on promoting collaborative work and team environments.
  • Serving as Fiscal Liaison for the office managing the reconciliation of credit cards and working with managers/supervisors and senior management to ensure the accuracy/timeliness of expense report submission. Will be responsible for submitting leave reports and maintaining leave records.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three to five years of appropriate experience. Additional college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite which includes Word, Excel and/or Google Suite including Google Docs and Google Sheets. Experience in nonprofit Board Management is strongly desired. Superior organizational management and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to direct multiple people and projects. Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
