  • About the Role As the Executive Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Executive Director, Research Strategy and Services (ED, RSS) within the Research and Innovation Portfolio. The position analyses and collates information in order to provide executive support to the ED, RSS. The position liaises with internal and external stakeholders and provides support to members of the RSS leadership team when required. The EA supports engagement activity across the Research Strategy and Services team. You will ensure the ED, RSS is prepared and informed on relevant matters, including researching, preparing and ensuring responses to emails, diary requests and phone calls occur in a timely manner. You will collaborate with the R&I Division EAs, College and other portfolio EAs and staff within the R&I portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality support and services to our research community with a strong passion for organisation and engagement.

    To be successful in this position, you'll have:

  • Experience supporting a senior executive in a large organisation.

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to build relationships and the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive matters in a professional manner.

  • Highly developed organizational skills, including the ability to prioritise competing demands and deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to draft correspondence, weekly newsletters, agendas and brief reports.

  • Strong attention to detail, an understanding of governance and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Proficiency in using MS Office suite and a flair for producing PowerPoint presentations.

  • Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
