We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and professional Executive Assistant to join the executive support team. The role will support the (Senior) Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise and Business Relations. You will also work closely with the other Pro-Vice-Chancellors, the Registrary, and the Academic Secretary, and be an integral member of the wider Executive Assistant team.
Joining a great team of Executive Assistants, providing a high-level executive and administrative support service, you will be required to manage the working day of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, using your initiative and judgement to anticipate their needs, and to ensure the smooth operation of the day to day activities of a busy office. You will have first class organisational and administrative skills as well as the ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload, both for yourself and for those that you support.
Working with the Operations Manager (Governance and Compliance), the Executive Assistants' Team Leader, and others members of the Vice-Chancellor's Office, the Pro-Vice-Chancellors' Office, and the Governance and Compliance Division, you will be expected to participate in developing processes within the team, and initiating discussion for improvements in working practices. Effective interaction as a team member will be essential.
You will need to be educated to degree level or have relevant equivalent experience, and will possess excellent secretarial skills including word processing, drafting correspondence, and diary management. You must be highly competent in using the Microsoft Office suite e.g Word, Outlook, and Excel and in a hybrid working environment, have a reasonable understanding of technology associated with this. The highest level of professionalism, discretion and diplomacy are required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The Governance and Compliance Division is one of the divisions of the Unified Administrative Services (UAS), overseeing the University's governance processes, data and information compliance, and assurance, (internal) audit and regulatory compliance work, and emergency management.
Fixed-Term: This post is fixed-term until the end of July 2024 or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier. Should the period of maternity leave be extended beyond June 2024, the fixed-term contract may also be extended.
