An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and professional Executive and Administrative Assistant to join the Office of External Affairs and Communications.
Providing a high-level executive and administrative support service, you will be required to manage the working day of the Director of Communications, using your initiative and judgement to anticipate their needs, and to ensure the smooth operation of the day to day activities of a busy office. You will have first class organisational and administrative skills as well as the ability to manage and prioritise a heavy and demanding workload, both for yourself and for those that you support.
Working within the administration team, and with other members of OEAC, you will be expected to participate in developing processes within the team, and initiating discussion for improvements in working practices. You will lead on event organisation and assist the team with HR and finance processes including recruitment and purchasing. Effective interaction as a team will be essential.
You will need to be educated to degree level or have relevant equivalent experience, and will possess excellent secretarial skills including word processing, drafting correspondence and diary management skills. You must be highly competent in using the Microsoft Office suite e.g Word, Outlook and Excel. The highest level of professionalism, discretion and diplomacy are required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
