Job Title Events Specialist Job Description
The primary purpose of the Events Specialist role is to professionally and proficiently manage all administrative, promotional, operational, and evaluative aspects of events sponsored by the Hesburgh Libraries and select events held within Hesburgh Library that may be sponsored by other University units. This includes communicating well and effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and venues; coordinating public events such as conferences, public lectures, workshops, and panels; coordinating, internal events such as Advisory Council meetings, National Library Workers Day and other gatherings of library faculty and staff, and other campus events.

Event Planning, Management, and Execution On behalf of the Office of the Edward H. Arnold Dean, Hesburgh Libraries and University of Notre Dame Press:
Event evaluation and, documentation, follow-up. The Events Specialist will work closely with the Advisor to the Dean to develop a full calendar of events and logistics that accompany each event; they will be responsible for evaluating each event with other library collaborators in order to assess success both quantitatively and qualitatively. This will involve outreach to collaborators and participants. The Events Specialist is expected to develop standard operating procedures for each event to ensure excellence and continuity. They will also ensure full budgetary compliance.
